Working of a switch:
1. How it works mechanically:
A tactile switch is made up of parts: a small metal piece, contacts, a plunger and a base. When the plunger is pressed it pushes down on the metal piece. The metal piece then touches the circuit. Lets electricity flow.
2. How it works when you press it:
Tactile switches only work when you are pressing them. When you stop pressing the metal piece goes back to its shape and the electricity stops flowing.
